Hulk Hogan Ultimate Grill Recalled

The Hulk Hogan Ultimate Grill was recalled due to safety concerns. The recall was initiated by QVC Inc. and Tristar Products Inc. after reports indicated that cooking oils or sprays applied to the grill's cooking plates before preheating could cause the oil to ignite and/or flare up. This issue led to five incidents, including two reports of minor burns. The recall affected approximately 13,500 units of the grill, which were sold from May to August 2007.

Consumers were advised to stop using cooking oils on the grill prior to preheating and to avoid using cooking sprays at any time. Revised instructions were provided to address these safety concerns. The Hulk Hogan Ultimate Grill was recalled on March 6, 2008 by QVC Inc., and Tristar Products Inc. as announced by The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on their website.

The Hulk Hogan Grill was sold using a direct response television commercial from May 2007 through August 2007 for about $100. About 13,500 Hulk Hogan Grills were sold during this time.

The Hulk Hogan Ultimate Grill apparently was recalled due to a fire hazard.

The Model number PZ-3012 was printed on a silver label attached to the back of the grills.
